Waves

Violently

The waves pummel her as she fights to stay afloat

In moments underneath the forceful sea

The salty water suffocates

Until the allowance of a surface break

In, out.

Above, below.

Breathing in water

To choke on in air.

The vicious cycle continues

Until

Against all logic

She stops fighting to keep her head out of the ocean

Ceases in her search for air in water

To become one with the sea

And swims
